GEOECOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT AND ESG ANALYSIS OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF MINING ACTIVITIES

The article evaluates the impact of mining activities on the state of the soil cover. An increase in the pollution coeffi cients of Pb to 1.55 and Cd to 1.40 was found, as well as an increase in the integral pollution index Zc to 5.05, which indicates the cumulative nature of the anthropogenic load. The excess of the background values for Cr up to 120 mg/kg and Ni up to 50 mg/kg was revealed, which indicates a long-term accumulation of pollutants. Spatial analysis showed maximum pollution levels near mining sources. The ESG analysis showed an increase in environmental risk to 0.78 with a low level of the management component (0.45). The results obtained confi rm the signifi cant impact of the mining industry on the soil component of the environment.
